Somewhere between Harrismith and Clarens off a tarred road, is a hill in Witsieshoek surrounded by mountains and overlooking magnificent views; this is the location of the Charles Mopeli Football Stadium, home to the Free State Stars (formerly Qwa Qwa Stars) with a capacity of 50,000. The stadium is used primarily for sports and hosts athletics meetings as well as football for Free State Stars playing in the PSL as well as African Warriors Football Club who currently play in the First Division.
